Naruto Vol.1 The Tests Of The Ninja Journal Entry 3

Issue 3 Enter Sasuke (85-107) It starts Naruto sitting in the Ninja Academy ready to be put into a three man squad of genin, like himself. A fellow graduate ninja comes and ask Naruto why he showed since it is only for students who have graduated. Naruto would say that he did graduate as he points to his headband. Then we are introduced to Sakura Haruno, a pink haired kunoichi (female ninja) who has a quick temper, a girl that Naruto has a crush on. When Naruto thinks that she is saying hi to him and says hi she says to move it so she could sit next to the guy next to Naruto, Sasuke Uchiha. Sasuke Uchiha is a brooding loner student who every girl likes, including Sakura, and who Naruto hates because Sasuke is better than him in every way and thinks he's better than everyone. Naruto then jumps on his desk and stares down Sasuke while all the girls, who all have a crush on Sasuke, are telling Sasuke to beat him up and telling Naruto to get away from Sasuke. As they stare down, a student who was sitting in front of Sasuke accidently pushes Naruto forward where he & Sasuke accidently kiss. All the girls get mad because Naruto ended up being Sasuke's first kiss instead of any of them so all the girls, including Sakura, beat Naruto to a pulp. Iruka then tells everyone to sit down as he announces the squads. For Team 7 he announces Naruto, Sakura (in which Naruto says hooray & Sakura sulks in sadness) and Sasuke (in which Sakura says hooray and Naruto sulks in sadness). Naruto then asks why he, a great ninja, was put with a worthless excuse of one like Sasuke. Iruka explained that they in order to balance out the teams he put the best student, Sasuke, with the worst student, Naruto. Later on, Naruto then does a foolish move where he sneak attacks Sasuke while he's eating lunch in his apartment, but Sasuke would end up leaving unscathed. It then cuts to Sakura sitting on a bench hoping that Sasuke would notice her eventually then Sasuke would appear looking interested in Sakura. He then asks her what she thinks of Naruto saying that Naruto is very annoying and always gets in the way and says that all she thinks about is Sasuke and only wants to be with Sasuke and as she moves in to kiss him it cuts to Sasuke's apartment where it shows the real Sasuke all tied up. Before Sakura could kiss this impostor Sasuke, he would clench his stomach with a worried look in his face and leaves to go to the bathroom. In the bathroom, the impostor Sasuke would reveal himself to be Naruto as he planned to attack Sasuke, turn into him, and find out how Sakura feels about him. As he comes out of the bathroom, Naruto decides that he should try to make Sakura hate Sasuke. Back to where Sakura was at, the real Sasuke appears and Sakura calls out to him so they could finish what they started. Sasuke where ask her where Naruto is at. Sakura says that they should stop talking about Naruto because he ruins everything and gets in the way of things who Sakura blames it on how he was brought up without parents. As she explains how having no family makes people selfish and that if she did the things that Naruto does she would get grounded. Sasuke appears to be getting mad and says that it also makes you lonely and that getting scolded by your parents doesn't even compare and says that "you make me sick" to Sakura. After Naruto leaves the bathroom he gets confronted by Sasuke who says that a simple rope technique can't keep a good ninja down and that he should keep that in mind. It then cuts to Naruto's apartment where the Third Hokage is showing Kakashi Hatake one of his new student's apartment. Kakashi then picks up an expired carton of milk that is empty and states that anyone who drinks this would be in the bathroom for days. The Third Hokage then entrusts the responsibility of training Team 7 to him and wishes him luck.

A Brief History Of Time: Journal Entry 9

Chapter 9 (Pg 147-157) The main focus of this chapter of the book is about the Three Arrows of Time: the thermodynamic arrow of time, the psychological arrow of time, and the cosmological arrow of time. The thermodynamic arrow of time is the direction in which the state of chaos in the universe increases. The psychological arrow of time is the direction in which we feel time pass. And the cosmological arrow of time is the direction in which the universe is getting bigger not smaller. The first arrow of the time, thermodynamic arrow, is based off the second law of thermodynamics in which there are disordered states then ordered ones. Like for example in a jigsaw puzzle there is only one correct arrangement while there are infinite amounts of incorrect arrangements. It explains that if all arrows are pointing in the same it would make sense that there would be someone to say why disorder increase as time goes by in which the universe is expanding?

Naruto Vol.1 The Tests Of Ninja Journal Entry 2

Issue 2 Konohamaru (Pg 61-83) It starts with Naruto taking a picture for his ninja id. While the photographer asks if Naruto really wants to take the picture the way he has his face. Naruto says yeah and to just do it already. It then shows Naruto's picture that shows him with clown make up with his hand against the camera. When he submits it to the Third Hokage (Hiruzen Sarutobi),  the Third asks him to do it again because that picture is a disgrace. Then Naruto would hear the door open and would see Konohamaru, The Third Hokage's 8 year old grandson, come in and try to attack the Hokage, but he would trip on his long scarf. Konohamaru's personal trainer Ebisu Sensei would come in relieved saying as that he finally found him as if he ran away. Konohamaru would then blame Naruto for tripping him in which Naruto would grab him by the shirt and would say that he tripped himself. Ebisu Sensei would tell Naruto to put him down while Konohamaru says that Naruto can't hit him since he is the Hokage's grandson. After waiting a little bit to think about it, Naruto would hit him across the head saying that "Like I care, stupid!" Afterwards, Konohamaru would start secretly following Naruto until Naruto quickly realized that he was following him due to Konohamaru's pathetic disguises. Konohamaru says that he is following Naruto because he wants to be his apprentice and to learn the sexy jutsu that Naruto used on the Third Hokage (not shown in the manga). Later Ebisu would find out that Konohamaru is off doing shenanigans from the Hokage and would quickly run off to go search for him. Back to Konohamaru & Naruto, Konohamaru attempts to do the sexy jutsu, but fails. Naruto would ask Konohamaru what's with him trying to attack the Hokage, or by how Naruto calls him "the old man". Konohamaru would explain that the Hokage named him after the ancient name of the village, but every citizen in the village calls him by Honorable Grandson. And he says it will be different once he becomes Hokage. Naruto would then explain that no one can become Hokage over night you need to earn it and be respected by everyone in the village and that if Konohamaru really wants to become Hokage he'll have to defeat him first in battle. Then it cuts to Iruka Sensei, who is still healing from his injuries during the fight with Mizuki, having a conversation with the Hokage about Naruto. The Hokage would say that Naruto's dream is almost an impossible one due to the Nine Tails Demon Fox Spirit sealed inside of him and says that this knowledge is kept secret from all the other younglings of the village and hopes that the villagers will stop treating Naruto the way they due. It cuts back to Ebisu finding Naruto & Konohamaru and trying to take Konohamaru back from him. Naruto would then use the Shadow Clone Jutsu to summon up a dozen of clones to fight Ebisu. Ebisu would say that he is a jonin, an elite ninja, and that a simple clone jutsu won't defeat him. Naruto & all his clones would then use the sexy jutsu to turn into a bunch of naked girls to freak Ebisu sensei so bad that he was knocked out cold. Naruto would then call it his Harem Jutsu. Naruto would then talk with Konohamaru, who says that he wants to become Hokage immediatly, saying that the Hokage is the most respected person in the village and that there are no short cuts to becoming Hokage. Konohamaru would then say that he's done being Naruto's apprentice and that from now on they are rivals, then he would laugh and leave. The Third Hokage would then be shown to have been watching all the events that had transpired through a crystal ball and would smile at the fact that Naruto is becoming a better ninja everyday and is on the fast track to becoming one of the best ninja in the entire village.

Animorphs The Invasion: Final Journal Entry

Chapters 17-27 (Pg 119-184) It starts with Jake telling the others about the secret entrance to the Yeerk Pool in the janitor's closet. On a unrelated note, there have been signs of a possible romantic relationship between Tobias & Rachel seeing as when Tobias that nobody would care he was destroyed by the Yeerks, Rachel would then blurt out that she would. Then there was another scene where Tobias, in red tailed hawk form, perched on Rachel's shoulder and Rachel rubbed her head against him. Back to the story, Cassie would take the group to a zoo where her mom works to acquire new morphs. Jake would manage to get a Tiger Morph and Marco would manage to get a Gorilla Morph. The Next day, the Animorphs, a name Marco came up with for their group, went to school later that night to try to free the people from the Yeerks at the yeerk pool. They realize that Cassie is not there with them and when they get into the school they see the controllers taking Cassie to the Yeerk Pool. They discovered, through the entrance in the janitor's closet, an underground city that the Yeerks built for their Yeerk pool. As they headed down the stairs they separated, Jake & Marco going one way, Rachel going another, and Tobias checking from the ceiling. Marco would tell Jake to make sure the Yeerks don't get him. The Hork-Bajirs would find them behind a crate and attempted to capture them until Rachel morphed into an elephant and stomped all the Hork-Bajirs. Jake & Marco would then morph into a tiger and gorilla, respectively, where they managed to save Cassie & Tom. However, Visser 3 would appear and would transform into his monster form, that we read earlier in the book,  and managed to recapture everyone they saved except for this one girl that Cassie saved by transforming into a horse and carried her the way up. The Animorphs managed to escape but with only one person saved and with Tom being recaptured. The Next Day, Tobias would visit Jake in his red tailed hawk form and would tell him that when Visser 3 transformed he hid a cavern until it was all over. Tobias would then say that it took over 2 hours and that he is stuck in his red tailed hawk form. Tobias would tell a saddened Jake that until the Andalites come to help them, they will fight!

Animorphs The Invasion: Journal Entry 3

Chapters 11-16 (Pg 77-118) Today, I read off where we left off with the cops showing up at Cassie's ranch where they talk to the group if they saw the kids at the construction site the other night. Jake then realized somehow that the cops where controllers (people who were controlled by the Yeerks) when they invited them to The Sharing meeting later that night. The group would decide to go after Tobias, in red tailed hawk form, found out that The Sharing is just a group made up by Yeerks trying to recruit more people so they could take over their bodies. They all went to The Sharing meeting, which was at the beach, so they could find the yeerk pool. At first, there was a party and games going on until a meeting with the full members was about to commence. Jake decided to morph into to dog form to try to get some information where he found out that Visser Three's host is their assistant principal Mr. Chapman. After Jake couldn't control his dog urges, Cassie had to go in unmorphed to get him out of there. During the meeting, Jake would overhear Tom saying that Jake should be brought in or killed if he doesn't. It was once he said that, that he accepted the fact that his brother was gone now and the Yeerk was in control. The next day, Jake would learn a new transformation, a lizard, where he would follow Mr. Chapman into the janitor closet where he would discover an entrance into the Yeerk Pool.

A Brief History Of Time: Journal Entry 8

Chapter 8 (Pg 119-145) Today I started a new chapter that starts with Stephan Hawking talking about how after he did research on black holes he started doing research on the origin and fate of the universe. So far he talks about the origin of the universe where once the big bang happened the temperature of the universe decreased up to where it stopped producing helium and other elements and started expanding (the temperature still kept decreasing). I read about how the earth was when it was initially created and that it was very hot with no atmosphere. And once there was an atmosphere it was very poisonous due to being made up of toxic gases like hydrogen sulfide. Thankfully the first primitive forms of life released oxygen into the air and changed the atmosphere to the one we have today. This allowed the creation of much higher forms of life like fish, mammals, reptiles, and humans. I read about the strong & the weak anthropic principle which is “how you see the universe the way it is because of how you exist”. It also talks about whether there is other life out there in the universe, if there was an initial configuration for the universe on how it started, and whether the universe is spatially infinite.

A Brief History Of Time: Journal Entry 7

Chapter 7 (Pg 103-117) Today, I started a new chapter that starts with Stephan Hawking talking about how he first got into studying and researching black holes. Then he talks about how light rays can never escape the event horizon and that lies right on the edge of it. Then he talks about entropy, the behavior of a physical quantity, and second law of thermodynamics. He mentions how Jacob Bekenstein suggested that the area of the event horizon was a measure of entropy of the black hole. He talks about how Jacob’s suggestion doesn't violate the second law of thermodynamics, but he noticed a fatal flaw in which that if a black hole has entropy, it must have a temperature. Today, I read about if and how rotating black holes can create and emit particles. Then he talks about how one part of a particle/antiparticle pair will have positive energy while the other will have negative energy. Today I learned that once a black hole’s mass gets incredulously small it disappears in a final burst of emission, the production and discharge of something, especially gas or radiation. It’s said that the gamma rays of a black hole is very useful to the earth since it can power more than 5 power stations. Then he says that once the black hole gets small due to a decreasing mass, it becomes white hot, proving that black holes aren't really black!
